Hi All,

I have a MS Access data collection application that I want to link to a map that I have hosted on ArcGIS.com.  I am using MS Access because the users need to do a phone survey and collect data from respondents.

As the user scrolls through the MS Access forms typing in data, I want them to be able to zoom to a geographic point (Latitude/Longitude) on my map hosted on ArcGIS.com so they can see it and measure the distance the point(s) are from certain features.

Is there a way to construct a URL that zooms to specific Latitude/Longitude in an ArcGIS.com map ?  How about zooming to a specific point (e.g. my database has foreign key link to data in the ArcGIS.com map)

Thanks !

You'll find the URL parameters available to viewing a particular extent in the section called Using URL Parameters in this help topic.

Hi All,

Would there be any reason that this should not work when the map moved off of ArcGIS.com and onto a hosted ArcGIS server ?  I cannot get it to work now that we moved the map off of ArcGIS.com and I do not know if it is the ArcGIS Server settings or my URL I am attempting to link to (new URL has an appid=  and new webmap=).

Thanks !

What do you mean moved off arcgis.com and onto a hosted arcgis server? Do you have a beta subscription to ArcGIS Online with your own custom URL?

Thanks,

Mike
