Web Map field order alphabetical versus map service (default)
Hi all,
We are working on a new Parcel Inventory web application using VertiGIS Studio Web. We have added a Parcel table component to our app and realized that the fields are not in the "default" order of our map service, but instead have been automatically re-ordered alphabetically by our ESRI Web Map.

Why ESRI has chosen to re-order our fields in the web map is beyond me. I think most users would appreciate the field order of the map service being preserved since this has been set up intentionally?
The only "solutions" I have found so far:
- Add a "Field List" component to the Parcel layer Pop-up in the ESRI Web Map and re-order here. This does re-order the fields in the new web app table. However, this does not work for us because we don't want the Web map field list in our app. We have created a Pop-up for the VertiGIS web app (see attachment) with formatted fields, building photos and value history tables and don't need the entire field list at the bottom of this.
- Edit the Web Map JSON and re-order the fields here. We may have to go with this option but it seems very cumbersome.
Am I missing something to solve this field order issue? Are there any clever ideas for utilizing the Field List re-order technique in the web map but also exclude the Field List from actually appearing the web map / apps Pop-up?
Perhaps I'm just venting here, but maybe this post can put a little more pressure on ESRI to re-think how fields get re-ordered in the Web Map?
