Hi I'm pretty new to arcgis online, and have posted some zoning information that works fine, however i have a minor change to the zoning layer.  I was wondering what is the best way to do that so that the zoning layer gets updated, but i don't lose all of my custom pop ups.  Also how do i delete a layer that has been uploaded?

thanks, mike

From the hosted feature layer you can create a view, which is linked to the original hosted feature layer.

When you overwrite from PRO only the original will be rewritten and the view will retain all the configuration. You might need to set the view definition of the view layer if you made a change in the schema (like you added a new field)

What if I'm not using Pro but arcmap desktop? Is it basically the same process?

I created a view from a feature layer. When I replaced the feature layer the view won't draw, it says data error (I only changed the shape of one polygon) so I am not sure this workaround is accurate. I lose all my pop-ups and customizations every time I make a change to the shapefile, there has to be a better way...
