I am using trial versions of ArcGIS Online and ESRI Maps for Office.  I can log into ArcGIS Online but not Maps for Office using Excel.  The installation of Maps for Office worked fine.  I get this error message "Your user account does not have access to ESRI Maps for Office.  Contact your ArcGIS Administrator to get access to ESRI Maps for Office."  I am the Administrator for my computer and ArcGIS on my computer.

It sounds like the username you are using hasn't been associated with an organization. Esri Maps for Office only works with usernames associated with a subscription. When you signed up for the trial, did you associate the username you are using with the trial organization?

I don't recall specifying an organization but if I had I would have used the same user name.  I am using trial versions of both ArcGIS online and Maps for Office.  Thanks for your reply.

Hi Robert,

Do you have a different login for ArcGIS Online that you might use?
Are you able to log into your ArcGIS Online trial without any issues?

Thanks,
Andrew

Andrew,

I do not have a different login for ArcGIS Online, only the one.  I guess I could create a new account if you think that would work.
I have no trouble logging into ArcGIS Online.

Thanks for the reply.

Login to ArcGIS Online and go to My Organization (top-center). On the right, you should see a subscription status column. How many credits does it say you have?

If your account is suspended or if you are in the hole by too many credits, it won't allow you to login to Esri Maps for Office. Esri Maps for Office uses these credits as you geocode, publish feature services, and package webmaps.
