Hello! I am new at doing dashboard for ArcGIS Online. I tried to create a serial chart, and it looks weird. I am trying to get the serial chart to look like the one in Excel. Does anyone have a tip on how to get it to look like this and what is the correct type for data field for hosted feature for year and linear ft? Thanks in advance!

Hey @ErinHoover

If you're mentioning x and y labeled charts then you may have some luck with this post here:

You can definitely get this pretty close to what you're looking for, here's the docs: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/dashboards/latest/get-started/serial-chart.htm

Hi! Thanks for your feedback. I was wondering if you know why Total Length ft shows only string instead of giving option for either double or float?

Hey @ErinHoover

Are you uploading it from Excel as a drop in? If so, ArcGIS Online typically takes the value from the first entry in the Excel to declare the data type. In some cases you may need to create a layer with your desired format, and then append the Excel information to it, here's a post about it as well:
