I recently imported an AGOL web map into ArcPro using the portal feature and I am just wondering if I make and save edits in the ArcGIS map on my desktop it won't edit/update the web map in AGOL, right? Probably a bad question but I just need confirmation because the web map is used by my entire team and it has been broken in the past and I need it to remain untouched as I perform edits using the layers from in ArcPro.

If I am understanding correctly what you did, it will update the web-map as well.

If you make edits to the web map and save them, those changes will be reflected in the web map for all users. You should save a copy of the web map to your content so that you can make changes that won't affect other users.

If you make changes to the appearance (symbology, etc) of your opened web map in Pro, your changes will not be saved to the web map item on Online until you go to the Share tab > Save Web Map.
