Hello everyone,
I’m wondering if there’s a way to prevent one of my layers from appearing in ArcGIS Online search results. I have a public dashboard that uses this layer, but I don’t want the layer itself to be discoverable by search or visualized in someone else’s map or app via ArcGIS Online.
Is there a method to keep the layer public for the dashboard to function, but hidden from general search and reuse?
Thanks in advance!
In regards to the documentation it is described that items shared publicly:
"Sharing an item with everyone makes it public. This means anyone, including anonymous users to ArcGIS Online, can access and see your item. Items shared with the organization or the public can also be added to any group by that group's owner or manager. To link or embed your map in a website, be sure it's shared with everyone."
I would also recommend you check out the following documentation on the best practices for sharing data
I don't think it is possible to restrict your item from being hidden in search results if the item is shared publicly.
Thank you so much @DanielFox1
I have started to think about other options:-
What if I am using an organizational account? Is it the same case ?
