I volunteer for a small island's historical society, and we want to create online maps that show and link to homestead (BLM) land patent information and to infomation about how and to whom that property was sold/subdivided over the years, starting with the first homestead in about 1875.
I know nearly nothing about GIS, but am hoping to recruit a student from a nearby community college to help us create these maps.
