Feature Size -- Legend Widget in Experience Builder

I'm trying to build a web app. 

The symbology example in the legend is comically small. We're talking about point features here. They are set to resize automatically in the map, but it appears that also dictates the size of the example feature in the legend. This isn't great. 

At full extent, when the thousands of features look reasonably pleasant in their masses, the legend appears to feature 5 point features displayed at something that's extremely small.

Any thoughts? Help?

This is also true if you turn on the Show Legend in the Layer widget as well. WHY OH WHY IS THIS THE DEFAULT?

You could try a similar workflow in AGOL and just exclude the smaller points from being shown in the legend.
