Hello All.
I am currently working on a project that involves features (points) that have been collected via two different Survey123 surveys at two different points in time.
In looking at the data I was given, and assuming the general +/- 4m tolerance or accuracy that both of the Survey123 surveys seem to have when I open them in the field and in visiting some of the sites in the field, I am assuming that sites that are within 4m or less than one another are actually the same site. I was wondering if there is a way to easily merge two points that are within a buffer distance.
In the image below, there is a theoretical buffer distance of 4m from site number 1 that includes site number 2. My goal would be to include the records or form from site 2 for site 1, with site 2 inheriting site 1's GlobalID so that the records are consistent with all the data that has been collected.
Both of these surveys are still active so I would also like to explore ways to make this process more automatic, or easy enough to do on a consistent basis. I am not sure if ArcGIS Online or ArcPro would be the better outlet for this, but am open to any and all suggestions.
Thanks, and have a great day.
Hi, I'm in a very similar situation. Did you end up finding a solution to this problem? Thanks!
Hello @MollyCasey, I have not found out a way to do this.
