Stream layer compression

Would it be possible to use compression with the Stream Layer web socket?  If so, how do you enable it, if not, why?

Hi @AndrewMurdoch1 The ArcGIS GeoEvent Server and ArcGIS Velocity products do not currently offer compression on stream layers. We will explore parameterizing this for a future release. Is there currently a rate or load that you are unable to keep up with that pushed you towards investigating compression with this Stream layer web socket?

Thanks!  When the socket response gets heavy, 250 MB+ we have a fair amount of load, which takes a while to load, We have taken steps to chunk the data, which helps, but compression would be very welcome 🙂

Hi @AndrewMurdoch1 , This is a functionality we are still considering for future releases and is represented in our backlog, but it is not on the near-term roadmap.
