Labelling with a Web Map Service

Hi,

We are using a template from ArcGIS Online, and editing the html with the webmap ID of our map we want to display in it.  How do we get the labelling of features to work?  Is it something we have to setup when we create the webservice, or can we do it by editing the template?

Hi B Bulla,

You can apply labels in the web map, and these should show in the web application.  Take a look at how to add labels:

Hi Jake,

So in our Web Map we are pulling data from multiple WMS's that are sitting on ArcServer.  Each service has multiple layers within it (like a layer group in ArcMap), so I do not have the option to label anything within each WMS.  All I can really do is turn the group on or off.

In the JavaScript is there a way to get at the individual layers that make up the web map/WMS and apply labelling?
