FeatureTable and "esri-popover" divs

What are all the divs (class="esri-popover") that are added to a page with the FeatureTable (v 4.17)? For example, this sample has nine of these divs.

Popover is a helper widget used for showing a floating menu somewhere. It doesn't have to deal specifically with the FeatureTable although this widget uses it as containers for floating column menus.
