Now that the WebApp Builder for ArcGIS is included in portal, I am curious what the development environment / process will look like going forward.  Will there still be a standalone version for developers to use while building custom widgets & themes?

Also, I have not been able to find any documentation on how to add custom widgets to an instance off WAB on Portal, or updating widgets in existing WAB apps hosted by Portal. Does this documentation exist?

If anyone from the WAB team can shed light on these questions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Now that we are able to download the developer version it should be easy for you to do all those tasks. Especially with using the help file.

Jon, I would agree that Tim's reply is correct the WebApp Builder Developer version is available for download and the site is very helpful.

Tim, question for you. How do you mark an answer correct? I don't seem to see that option. Thanks

At this time only moderators or the person who has started the question can mark answers.

See here Mark a reply as the Correct Answer

You should only be able to mark something as helpful in this post here.

You may want to join this group and share your question on custom widgets there: Web AppBuilder Custom Widgets

But there is an Esri github site for widgets for Web App Builder as well: Esri/solutions-webappbuilder-widgets · GitHub
