Hi, everbody.
I have a doubt about "ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript".We have an application that uses a version 3.x and we need to upgrade to version 4.x. This application has "BasemapGallery" native widget from Esri.
In some documentations I saw that is necessary authorize using API Key to consume these basemaps. However, according to document "https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/widgets-basemapgallery/" is possible to use without API Key. Well, my doubt is "Do I really need using API Key"?
Thank you, guys.
Hey Flayner based on the documentation here you should need an API key if using the Esri default basemaps.
The sample you have linked I believe the API key is embedded with the item under id 0560e29930dc4d5ebeb58c635c0909c9
Please let us know if you get any issues in using an API key.
Many thanks,
David
Hi @David_McRitchie, in the question below, Bjorn informed that if we had the ArcGIS enterprise license we could use the basemaps without the API Key, is that valid?
If so, where can I find an example?
Hey Flayner. Yes that would be correct. You can access these from the Living Atlas and add them to your Contents page via adding the item URL to your portal.
Many thanks,
David
Hi @David_McRitchie , is there any link that can help me use these basemaps? In the link provided by Bjorn, the information has already been removed.
