Dear Team,

I am trying to use the ESRI Georeferenced CAD drawings downloaded from one of the ESRI trainings in my project and ran the Import Floor plans to Indoors Geodatabase tool. Its been running since 2 days as opposed to 5 min in the tutorial. I am not sure of the issue. All the necessary steps were followed correctly and would be of a great help if anyone could offer solution to this problem.

Thanks in advance!

Hello ! I think the issue would be resolved by downloading the new microsoft .net desktop runner needed for ArcGIS 3.0. It is linked in the below support article. I was having the same issue until I downloaded the new runner, then it worked no problem. Hope this helps !

Hello @CassidySerrano,

I tried upgrading my .NET runtime to 6.0.9 but unfortunately, I still have the same problem.

Let me know of any further solutions that would help me solve this issue.

Susheela

Hi Susheela, I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this. The CAD drawings and other data provided with an Esri training course is designed to be used in the context of that particular training course and may not work as-is or be suitable for use in other contexts. Do the tools and CAD drawings work as expected when following the steps in the Esri training course?

Hello @JasonHine123 ,

You are correct. The Georeferencing and scaling isn't as per my need. But re-doing them is giving me satisfactory results to start and explore the tutorials. Not sure about the problem.

Any help is much appreciated!

Susheela

Hello,

I had the same problem. Today I was finally able to solve it. Apparently it doesn't work to just reinstall the .NET Desktop Runtime.

I solved it as follows:
1) uninstall the installed .NET Desktop Runtime.
2) uninstall ArcGIS Pro
3) shutdown PC and restart after 5 min
4) install current .NET Desktop Runtime (x64)
5) install ArcGIS Pro 3.0.2

After that the import tool completed correctly. You have to use the .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0.x! I had to do wait 5 min before starting my PC, because it did not work with normal restart.

Regards,

Ricardo

I'm having difficulty importing the CAD layers as well.  Mine gives me the following error.  I tried it twice.  One thing I'm thinking might be the problem is that the CAD has a single layer with all of the features - building polygon and unit polygons.  It's not clear to me if they have to be in separate layers.  Any help or suggestions appreciated.
