Most of the open data sites that I've visited do not enable downloading the data as a geodatabase. The only site I've seen that allows it, doesn't do it through Hub anyways. They've provided an external download link.
I'm wondering what the cons are to enabling geodatabase downloads for our own open data site that'll be open to the public?
For reference, I mean the download option on Hub, which currently doesn't have geodatabase format available. Just shapefile.
It will be available if I enable "Allow other to export to different formats" in the Settings option of the feature layer. But all Hub sites that I've visited doesn't enable this.
Thanks!
Do you mean exporting a feature service to geodatabase, or downloading a geodatabase file that is already uploaded?
@jcarlson I've edited my post to better explain what I meant. Hopefully that answers your question!
