Is there a way for a shapefile/gdb feature class's original metadata that appears in ArcCatalog to be retained in the shapefile that'll be downloaded from Hub's open data site? When I published a feature class using ArcGIS Pro, and downloaded it in a geodatabase format through Hub, the downloaded feature class did have the same metadata as the original layer, when viewed through ArcCatalog. However, when downloading the same file as a shapefile through Hub, none of the metadata was retained.
I was hoping the metadata would be retained in a downloaded shapefile, when viewed through ArcCatalog.
