Good afternoon,

We would like to submit an enhancement request for ArcGIS Online - ArcGIS Hub to better meet WCAG compliance.  Specifically, we would like the option (via toggle or some other form of activation) to allow for non-button'ed links to have a underline.  This would better meet requirements as outlined here:

https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/quickref/?versions=2.0&showtechniques=141#use-of-color

and

https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20-TECHS/F73.html

We are using SiteImprove to validate our design which brought this issue to light.

Thank you.

Thank you for the idea. I had thought since we (ArcGIS Hub) were meeting https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2016/WD-WCAG20-TECHS-20160105/C15 that we were covered, but I see in re-reading the criterion that is no longer the case. I'll add your suggestion to our feature backlog. If you have not already, you may want to post this to the ArcGIS Online idea board as well: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-ideas/idb-p/arcgis-online-ideas

Sounds like a good plan.  I put it in as a support ticket to get it transferred to an enhancement request, but I'll also do what you suggested too.  Thanks for giving it it a look.  Our front end lead was looking at it yesterday and ran through a few of those things.

Thank you!

@John_Spence

I wanted to let you know that we've released this feature and you can read more information about it in my blog post: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-hub-blog/link-underlining-site-capability/ba-p/1097999

It can be enabled on existing sites by going to Site Settings > Interactions > Link Underlines and it will be on by default for all newly created sites.

See @KlaraSchmitt comment on this idea.  The team implemented and released this functionality for all ArcGIS Hub Sites, it is off by default but available to be enabled in the site's settings.
