Our team is just getting its feet wet with Hub, and it sure would be helpful if there was more clear and up to date documentation/tutorials on getting started. For example, the last post in ArcGIS Hub Documents is from 2021. There are only 19 posts in all, and most of them say this doesn't apply to new Hub versions.
There are recordings from previous UCs, but they assume you already have starting knowledge, and/or present features without much how-to instruction. The existing documentation is often unclear, not tied together, doesn't always match the current Hub version, etc.
If I'm wrong, please point me in the correct direction. Right now we're having a steep learning curve. Thanks!
Hi @ZenMasterZeke and welcome to Hub!
Thanks for your suggestion. While we have a wealth of learning resources, as you point out, there is room for improvement. We agree! Hub is a relatively mature product and some content has gotten a bit stale. We're actively updating and improving several resources, and archiving older content as appropriate (such as the Documents section in this community). We hope this will smoothen the experience for you and all new users.
Guided tutorials are often best for learning with step-by-step instructions. Here is our most recently updated tutorial:
Stay tuned, more Hub tutorials, blogs, and documentation will receive updates soon! You can help inform our work - are there specific topics you're interested in having how-to instruction on?
As you get more familiar with Hub, the ArcGIS Blog is one of the best resources for deep dives on Hub capabilities and announcements, and we often post detailed workflows here in the Community blog. These resources and more can be found on our Resources page.
Thanks again, we look forward to seeing what you do with Hub!
Best regards,
Jill
