Hopefully yes. We are working on new setups for ArcGIS Server .NET and inside of the new setup we will include the "Project Server". I cannot confirm for sure that the new setup will be in beta 2 but we are working towards making that happen.
For beta 1 you will need to run the separate project server setup.
We did not get a chance to install/test under Beta 1, but are now working on getting Beta 2 installed. Unfortunately, most of the support information for Mobile still seems to refer to Beta 1.
I did not see an option for a "Project Server" installation under ArcGIS Server .NET when we installed it (Beta 2), nor did I see a separate installation package, either on the ArcGIS Server ISO or the ArcGIS Mobile ISO. Is there something that we missed when we did the install?
We've been able to create a mobile service, access it through the Mobile Project Center, and save a mobile project locally through MPC. However, our installation of MPC does not seem to include any options for specifying or managing a mobile project server. When we try to export the project (AMP file), only local options are enabled. Are we still missing a component of the install?
I apologize if we're overlooking something basic - we had 9.3 running pretty easily, but can't seem to get 9.4 up and running.
I had the same problem. But the "simple" solution is to use "Save as" and not "Export". In the "save project document" dialog select "On a Web Server".
