Hi,

I have downloaded the test, to see if this is something we can use.
The map inserts fine, but when I try to add some data in a layer, nothing happens.
It says Excel layer under map contents, but checked or uncheced no marks appears on the mapp. we use Lon & Lat
I also have the online version, and it works fine, there.

Any ideas on how to get the POI visable on the map in excel, and then what we need it for the heatmapping.

Sven,
Can you tell us what OS you are seeing this on? Is this on a English language OS or a different language OS? What version of Microsoft Office and Esri Maps for Office are you using?

Thanks,
Alagiri

Hi, It took some time for me to test this again.

I have a .csv file with lat, long, and some other info.
It imports fine in the online tool, but not in the program for Excel.

I have Norwegian OS, but english version of office 2010.
If I use address and zip, it works, but then it is also doing the geocoding... and that is not nessesary.

Hi, When I try to use the locate by address, it returns "Not located";  it will not recognize any street addresses have in the excel tabel.  I have it fomatted into columns of Street, City, State.  I can map City and State, but when I try to include the Street, it returns an error.

Street                             City               State
1417 NEWTON ST NW Washington DC
1418 NEWTON ST NW Washington DC

It doesn't work with any street addresses from any city.

Hi,

Would it be possible to share your data (Excel workbook) with us? This would help to see what is happening and why the layers are failing to add.

Thanks,
Alagiri

Hi Patrick,
I am able to geocode the Washington DC addresses without any problems as both single line and also with Street, City and State information in separate columns.

Are you still having issues with address geocoding?

Thanks,
Alagiri
