Hello,
I am currently working with the ESRI map widget in Power BI, and I have encountered a usability issue regarding the zoom functionality when interacting with tooltips.
When I hover over a specific asset on the map, the tooltip window appears as expected. However, during this interaction, I am unable to zoom in or out using the mouse scroll wheel while the tooltip is visible. The only way to zoom in or out is to move the pointer away from the tooltip and use the "+" or "-" buttons on the map interface. While this works, it is not very convenient, especially when an urgent check of specific assets or locations is required. The current behavior disrupts the workflow when precise zooming and inspection of map locations are needed.
It would be much more efficient if I could zoom in/out seamlessly with the mouse scroll wheel, even when the tooltip is visible.
Is there any existing workaround or setting that allows mouse zooming functionality to remain active while interacting with tooltips? Alternatively, are there plans to improve this behavior in future updates of the ESRI map widget for Power BI?
This is a nuance in the ArcGIS visual that does not occur in other mapping visuals, It greatly impacts the impression users have on this ESRI provided visual. Please fix!!
