Label appears for some points despite symbology being off

In the map below I would like the label to only appear for the centroid. So I added the two other points to the other category and unchecked the box. The label for the upper left point does successfully disappear but for the bottom right it does not (see bottom picture). I can't seem to fix this. This seems like a bug because a point that is not displayed should not be labeled.
