Hi. We are ingesting data from multiple source systems into a Microsoft Fabric environment and create Power BI visuals based on that data, including inserting reference layers such as boundaries from our ArcGIS Enterprise.

I work for African Parks Network, and as a conservation organization we are creating Power BI maps and visuals to evaluate wildlife movements, community perceptions, poaching and security incidents, financial budgets, fundraising, HR data, etc all in one environment.

One of the caveats of using the ArcGIS for Power BI plugin we are finding to be a major limitation is that feature layers need to be publicly shared or the user has to be admin or the item owner/publisher. Obviously, we cannot share sensitive data like rhino locations or poaching events publicly. We also need to limit this data to a list of users - already members of specific groups in Esri. Therefore, it would be great if the group permissions on Enterprise were reflected on the Power BI visuals. In other words, we need a user to view data on the visual if they are part of a group who has the content shared with them.
