Hello! Love using arcgis for power BI, except there's one small thing that makes it feel weird to use. The fact that the legend doesn't automatically update if you filter the map, whether it be on the legend card, or on the actual map itself if you are showcasing metric density using color.
Hi @dgoodwinny ,
Thanks for letting us know your experience. Could you please provide more details on "the legend doesn't automatically update if you filter the map"?
Could you please let me know if I understand it correctly or not?
Here's an example:
Click Santa Fe from a table to filter the states from ArcGIS for Power BI.
Are you asking the legend should be updated to New Mexico only instead of showing all of the states?
Hello @NaZhang_Esri ,
I'm mainly asking about when you're showcasing color density with values.
I have this data set that shows color density for votes, and when I filter things on the map, I expect the color classification on the map to update to dynamically update and reflect filters, as well as the legend. Currently you have to manually kind of refresh by moving the classification up/down a class. For people that don't have experience using arcgis or power bi that's not ideal.
Hi @dgoodwinny,
Thanks for the explanation. The dynamic legend related requests have been on our road map. I will add your idea there too!
