I started an Excel sheet of locations of parks with addresses or intersections, geocoded it, and shared a map.  Then I added a bunch of columns and now I'm trying to reshare the map and I get this error.  It seems it doesn't like something in the data but it's not telling me what.  How can I determine what that is?

And how can I publish a new map with a new title without copying and pasting into a new sheet.  This actually fixed the error but now I have two sheets, and the old one has already been shared so now I have to tell everyone about the new one.

Hey, there @PaulCone2 ! Thank you for posting your question. I believe you are experiencing a few things here. First, inserting new features into the ArcGIS layer in the Excel worksheet is not supported. Here is the link to our online resource, see Add ArcGIS layer data to Excel

Secondly, I tested your workflow or attempted to mimic what it might be and was able to reproduce the same error message (Cannot read properties of null). I was able to reproduce this when I added columns and applied formatting (such as string, short date, etc.) Here was my workflow:

  1. Add Excel data
  2. Add AGOL layer (with attribute table)
  3. Share map
  4. Go back to excel sheet and add column
  5. Select Format (in Excel ribbon)
  6. Change date field to Long date or change from General to text field

Can you share your workflow or confirm I am performing something similar?

Lastly, I have also logged this as a bug and will be working with my team on the error message.
