Hi Don - is there a documented road map for updates to ArcGIS for AutoCAD and future releases with planned features and functionalities?

Thanks,

Looks like it just came out. I'm able to use it in my 2020 Civil 3D. That being said I could sure use some training/help. Anyone know any resources or chat groups as we figure out how to optimize the new possible work flows this product will allow?

I don't see version 400 on Esri's download page. Is that the version you

found? Here are a few links - most of the info is old, but it's the best

I've found:

The 400 Release of ArcGIS for AutoCAD is getting ready for a limited beta release.  The new timeline we hope will be a general release by the end of the year.

I'm a little confused - Are you referencing the "ArcGIS for Auto CAD Plug-IN". I was talking about "ArcGIS Connector" which is in my 2020 civil 3d, just have to type it into the command line?

Ultimately I just want to pull in my feature service layers from our Enterprise Portal into CAD Civil 3D where our engineers can then use those layers to design which feeds the layer in our portal. No more getting a CAD file from engineer and putting it in our system because it was in our system to begin with.

I saw a demo that could do this workflow by a Belgium AutoDesk person at the Expo both at the 2019 ESRI UC. He said what he showed me was coming out this fall Sept/Oct.

In this forum for Esri's ArcGIS for AutoCAD we have talked about both.  The primary topic of this thread is Esri's 400 Release of ArcGIS for AutoCAD and its 2019 release later this year.   It will be supporting a deep integration of editing of online and enterprise portal feature layers as well as broad support for map and image layers for AutoCAD, including the AutoCAD in Civil 3D and Map 3D.  And yes like you mention the Autodesk's connectors for ArcGIS have been released.

Is there any update for the planned release of this update?

Many thanks Don, I appreciate you following up from this thread, thank you.  I was just sitting with one of our Engineers attempting to add our 2019 imagery service into the CAD session.  We got an error reading something similar to 'this is unavailable', but our feature services can be found and added without issue.  Can you confirm that adding imagery data from the following URLs is available from within ArcGIS for AutoCAD OR if I am simply doing it wrong?    Thanks Don, hoping for the latter

If ArcGIS for AutoCAD can consume a webmap of all the 2019 views you can use this URL

IF NOT then we’ll have to add each of the 2019 services individually

Gentle reminder that discussion of details about the beta should be limited to the beta forums, not done here.
