One of our users is unable to log into Field Maps; she's using iPhone with the latest version of the iOS and has the most up-to-date version of the application.

The map is served through ArcGIS Online. When she selects the option to log in, the app comes back with the message 'Sign In Error - Not logged in' (see the image below).

She's already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application, but is still getting the same message.

Is there anyway of getting around this issue?

One of our staff members ran into this same problem today.   This morning when he got to the field, he opened his online map, turned on track logs, then went to check some of his field sites.  When he clicked on a point, it acted like there was no point - wouldn't return info about the point.  When he got back to the truck, Field Maps was asking him to sign in again -- apparently he got logged out somehow.  When he did sign in, his online map wasn't there and only showed one of his old offline maps.  Now when he clicks the login button (I assume he logged out when it wasn't showing his maps), it gives the "Sign in Error - Not Logged In" message.  So he can't log in at all on his iphone now.

He is, however, able to log in on his iPad.

His phone is iOS 17.5.1 (iphone 12)

Field Maps version:  24.2.1 Build 1071

He has tried rebooting his phone and reinstalling the Field Maps app.  Still can't log in.

Only workaround we've found so far, which is not ideal, is for the user to erase/reset their device settings.  Not deal, but that fixed the issue for some of our users.

I am seeing this same issue on an older Iphone with newest version of Field Maps. What is the process for erasing/resetting device settings? Thank you.

Hi @GeoFinn ,

Depending on your device and current iOS version, the instructions can be different.

Reset iPhone settings to their defaults - Apple Support

At the top, choose what version of iOS you are using.  (You can find this from the setting screen [gear button] and going to "General" on the left and "About" on the right.)  Choose the proper version from the dropdown box, then proceed to the erase instructions.  Before continuing, you should consult with your IT Department (if you have one) for any initial setup instructions and if this is the proper course of action.  You will need to proceed as if you are setting up a new device after you have erased your settings.

I hope this helps.

Following this thread as it popped up in my organization.

User has an iPad running v17.7 and Field Maps version 24.2.1 connecting to Entereprise 11.1.

Just cannot connect to Production Environment, but can connect to Test environment.

really hoping that the final solution is not to wipe devices as we have alot...

Hi,

Some of our users are experiencing the same problem.  It occurs when we try to connect to our AGOL organization using iPad or iPhone devices running various versions of iOS.  It started a couple of weeks ago.

Hi all,

We have released a beta build on the Field Maps Early Adopter website that includes a change that should address the Sign In issues reported here. Ensure you are installing the Beta build for the November 24.3 release and not the Field Maps Tech Preview build. They should have separate pages on the EAC website.

If the beta build addresses the issue, the fix will then be available in the full 24.3 release next month. Thanks all for your help.

Regards,
Colin

Reporting that this issue has just impacted one of my field users on his iPad.  Still able to login using his iPhone.  Fingers-crossed the next update solves the problem we have about 100 other users in the field and it could get uncomfortable if more start having the same problem.

Hi @WynstonJohnson,

As Colin mentioned above, we have a beta version live right now that you can test against. We are releasing the November update of Field Maps that will include the change on the evening of November 12th. If you can, please give the beta version a try. If not, look for our official release and let us know if our change resolves the issue for you!

Thanks,

Jeff
