Metadata Deleted When Point Updated

We are having an issue when using Field Maps in conjunction with a GPS unit (both Trimble & Eos). If a new point is collected it comes in with metadata (information from the GPS unit such as coordinates, accuracy, etc) but if we try to update this point the metadata is deleted. We have a project where we will be taking some points that have previously been collected and updating their location, so it's important that the new metadata come in, and right now we are not getting anything. We're having this issue in both ArcGIS Online and Enterprise environments.  Has anyone come across this before or have any suggestions?

Perhaps this post will help?  Looks to be the same issue.

You may want to try restricting the ability to collect manual locations and/or setting a required fix type in your map. It sounds like while editing points you may be incidentally updating the location of the point, which will wipe out the existing metadata. See the configure the map doc for how to set these map properties. I hope this helps!
