We have a Field Maps app with a smart form. The map is a floor plan, and the form in the popup goes to a related table tied to each space in the floor plan. We would like the plus sign to not show up in the map, because our users aren't adding or editing any spatial data, just filling out a form. If we take away the ability to add data in the feature service, the ability to fill out the form also goes away. It would be nice to have the ability to only add data to a related table, not the feature service itself.

Well, we need that so, please don't remove that, only add the option to hide.

Yes, this should just be an option. We use the plus button in another app.

We also need an option to remove the '+' (plus) button from some Field Maps maps (but not others).

@LeviCecil you can already accomplish this today.  For any layers you don't want to be editable in that map, you can turn off "Enable Editing" on the layer properties in Map Viewer. This will remove that feature layer from the list of features that are shown in the template picker. If there are no feature layers that are editable, the Add button will not be displayed. See this topic for details.
