I made some changes to the layers, and thought the change was so minor so I didn't test the entire smart form again, but when people opened the app in the field they found out they couldn't insert any record.
Perhaps the error field can just show up with an error like in excel and it doesn't need to block the entire record from submitting? The error fields can then be fixed when the workers come back from the field. Offline workflow should be prioritized.
