Will this get changed at some point, to something a bit more standard, naming is getting a bit long now at 4 characters (1200), I would hate to see Explorer 1,000,000.

Any word for an update for this release, I imagine there will be something prior to Dev Summit?

Ted,

The new ArcGIS Explorer (Build 1200) is now available for download:

Thanks Man, looking forward to this, is this a public offering, and if so, can I just post to these forums.

If you can pat Edan on the back for me.

Are there any plans to release the silverlight app as well, or is this just a prototype at this juncture?

Ted,

At this time there is no specific version number for ArcGIS Explorer (unlike other ESRI Products) other than the newest public release being identified by the build number, hence ArcGIS Explorer 1200.

Having said that, the new ArcGIS Explorer is optimized for ArcGIS 10 yet will still work with previous versions of ArcGIS. I hope this information helps resolve some initial confusion.

I still agree with Bart on this one.  That is one heck of a number.  Couldn't it at least follow the pattern of ArcGIS products?  Or perhaps Even be called 12 instead of 1200?

So, this is the actual release.  This is NOT a beta of ArcGIS Explorer, correct.
