Querying a transparent feature layer

Hello.

I have been trying to find a solution to the need to query a transparent feature layer, and be able to see only the result(s) - highlightened.

My feature layer is a 3D buffered polyline, laying on a ground (terrain is dissabled).

These are the webscene setting for the layer:

These are the Experience Builder setting for the layer:

I would love to hear your ideas on how to make that work.

Thanks!

The simplest hack I can think of is to make your layer mostly transparent, like 1%. You shouldn't be able to see it, but it should still highlight.

Thanks for replying.

That's the weird part - it highlights as faintly as the layer itself! 🙂 Did you get to play with it too @JeffreyThompson2 ?

I didn't try it myself, but I'm not surprised that happened. You will probably need to do something similar to this.

OK, seems like I made it work for now:

on the WebMap side: I have hidden the layer (but it's symbology is exactly how I wanted it to be)

on the Experience Builder side: I have set the trigger settings of the layer to show the resuts on the map - when THE RECORE IS CREATED.

I hope it help anyone else searching for a similar solution 🙂
