Good Morning

We have begun testing multiple Map Layers Widgets in ExB.  We have noticed that when you add a layer from the Add Data Widget it gets added to multiple Map Layers Widgets.  Does @esri have a plan on dealing with this issue of the same layer being added to multiple layer lists?

Thanks

@JohnLucotch2 This behavior has been enhanced in the latest AGOL Feb 2025 release, with the following new option - "Display layers generated at runtime":

It is provided and turned on by default in the customize mode, and you can turn it off to keep the layers from being added to the widgets as you desire. Let us know if you encounter any issues on that.

@JohnLucotch2 Are the Map Layers widgets all connected to the map widget by default, or do you have customizations of the layers within them?

@TonghuiMing Yes they are all connected to the map widget by default with customizations of certain layers per Map Layers Widget.

I see. We will consider it an enhancement—allowing whether to show runtime added data or not in the customization case.

I will keep you noted once implemented, and thanks for bringing this up.
