Hi there

Hopefully an easy question. Is it possible to have widget icons (filtering, printing, layer list etc.) in a text field in Experience Builder? And if so, how do you add them in?

I have an example from a web mapping applciation that I would like to replicate in Web Experience Builder but have not been able to find how to add images/icons in a text field.

Thanks!

Have you tried copying them directly into the widget using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V?
I just tested it with various texts containing different types of icons, and they all displayed correctly.

Inline images are available in the latest version (11.5) of Enterprise and in ArcGIS Online.

That said, I've tried it and it seems like you can only make the images so small, even if they start small? I could not get it looking as nice and neat as what you were able to do in WAB. The lines with inline images ended up being double the height of lines without images. A different option is to use a column with rows where one part of the row is the widget icon and the other part is a description. Add rows as needed.

We are running on Enterprise 11.3 as we use add-in programs from another supplier that means we can only update to the next version of enterprise once they have all of their add-ins compatible with any newer versions.

Have not been able to get images in even using copy paste so hopefully we will be able to update to 11.5 soon!

Thanks for the help 🙂

Here's the hack for mixing text and images in older versions of Enterprise.

You may use the latest developer edition to connect data in Enterprise 11.3. This is a commonly used pattern for Enterprise users who can't migrate to the latest version of ArcGIS Enterprise but want to use the new features in Experience Builder.

Thanks,
