'Enable popup' breaks Feature Info?

Disabling the map's popup apparently means you can't even click on map points, which makes having a separate Feature Info box worthless? Am I missing something here?

The Feature Info box will respond to feature selections. Selecting a feature via another widget will still make it work.

Sounds like a case of "working as intended, but not working well".

Which widget would allow me to select things on the map? There isn't even a generic 'Select' Widget like in WAB.

You can enable feature selection in the map itself, or use something like a List or table widget for selection outside the map.

Is this AGOL version of ExB? I just tried this, disabled popups in the Map Widget and I can still select points and the Feature Info shows the popup inhereted from the map viewer config.

Dev/Desktop version.

"exbVersion": "1.12.0",
"exbBuildNum": "122",

I feel like this should be possible, so I am hoping that this is some weird bug.

It seems to work like you're talking about in the AGOL version of it. One other bit of advice I've seen is to make sure the pop ups are enabled in Map Viewer but it looks like they are so I'm not sure. Maybe it is a bug with the version you're on.

I have my Feature Info widget working with the pop ups turned off in map, the part I'm struggling with is I have it in a View so it's hidden behind the list unless a selection is made, but I can't get a selection on the map to show me the view with the feature info widget in it.

I got a response from Esri on this and their answer was essentially "Working as intended" and "We will take this into consideration".

The same is true for the Feature Info widget missing the ability to scroll through multiple selections. The Feature Info widget only sees the active item on the map, so as far as it knows you only have one item selected. I believe there is a workaround where if you use the Select widget (set to point) to select points on the map, the Feature Info widget works as you would expect it to. But, that is an extra step for the End User and complicates the process too much for users without training.

That's a weird response from them, based on my understanding of your issue at least. I have pop-ups disabled on my map in ExB, and I am still able to select points on my map.

I also have the options to pan through the options on the map in my Feature Info Widget, with little back or next arrows at the top. Is this what you mean? Or actually scrolling down on the widget?

Hmm. I have no idea then. I am using the most recent build of EB (v1.12).

Also, in my recent post specifically about the Feature Info widget's lack of navigation, I was directed here where Esri explained the selection issue.

It's odd that we would see different functionality.
