Edit Widget NOT Using Webmap Settings When Checked

When I choose "Use Webmap Settings" with the edit widget, it does not function as it should.

I renamed fields, created filters, changed a date field to only show date and not time and they all do not show as such in the edit widget.

Is this a bug or something I am missing?
