Previously in WebApp Builder I could easily share a web app using the share button and this would automatically add the map extent in the URL parameters. This allowed for sharing links with different starting points in the same app. I have not come across any way to do this with Experience Builder. Is there a way to open different map extents or bookmarked areas with URL Parameters in EXB? Alternatively, can it open to a specific point feature with a URL Parameter?

Hi @jchester73,

I'm just looking into that myself - here's a link to the documentation: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/experience-builder/latest/build-apps/url-parameters.htm

I'm looking at the widget-related parameters section.

URL parameters are a fairly recent addition to Experience Builder. They were first added to Enterprise 11.3. I'm guessing you are on an older version.

I am on Enterprise 11.3 actually, haven't found examples of how I can use the parameters. I would like to create different links for the same app which will open with the map area zoomed to a different extent each time - cemetery map which will zoom to a specific cemetery at a certain scale. I was able to do this easily with WebApp Builder with the share button. Unsure how to do this in EXB.

Turn on URL Parameters by hitting the Gear Icon then Manage URL Status.

Turn them on for your Map Widget and select what kinds of parameters to use.

Let the Share Widget tell you what parameters are used for the input.

I missed that settings wheel....works like a charm now, thank you!

As mentioned since Enterprise 11.3 there is an option for url center and scale.

But the option for a url with MinX,MinY,MaxX,MaxY as a bounding box, like the web-appbuilder had, is still missing.

It would be very helpful is Esri could implement the url MinX,MinY,MaxX,MaxY extent in Experience Builder.
