ArcGIS Web AppBuilder is retiring, and this document shares the timelines and migration resources with you.
Below is current as of October 2025 and content will be updated when new resources are available.
Timelines:
- The ArcGIS Web AppBuilder developer edition is retired in July 2024, coinciding with the retirement of ArcGIS API for JavaScript version 3.x.
- The final release of ArcGIS Web AppBuilder in ArcGIS Enterprise is included in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5. This version will be supported according to the ArcGIS Enterprise product lifecycle. ArcGIS Web AppBuilder as part of Enterprise is considered deprecated as of the retirement announcement.
- ArcGIS Web AppBuilder in ArcGIS Online will be retired in the second quarter of 2027 with the following phases:
- Q1 2026 - Creating new Web AppBuilder apps will no longer be possible.
- Q2 2027 - Existing Web AppBuilder apps will be retired and will no longer function.
See the ArcGIS Web AppBuilder Roadmap for Retirement for more information. While your ArcGIS Web AppBuilder apps that you have built will continue to work until Q2 2027, Esri’s recommended path for taking advantage of new capabilities in ArcGIS as well as for staying abreast of the changes in browser technology is to migrate applications to ArcGIS Experience Builder.
