HI,

Is it possible to create Geodata Base Replica between  ArcSDE 10.8.1 and  ArcSDE 10.2.1 ?

Source DB Version :ArcSDE 10.8.1

Target DB Version :ArcSDE 10.2.1

Is it recommended by ESRI ?

Please share any supported documents. Thanks in Advance.

Thanks

Based on this link, I would say no:

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/geodatabases/overview/client-geodatabase-compatib....

Ultimately your question asks if it is possible.  Sometimes the actual answer is yes even when the document says no.  So my approach is to ask, is it supported?  And that leads in to a list of other articles like:

I've based this on ArcMap doco (rather than Pro) because the versions align.

10.7 Doco specifically list the supported versions:  https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.7/manage-data/geodatabases/client-geodatabase-compatibility....

So we see that 10.7.x is support back to 10.3.x.  That in itself would encourage me not to try 10.2.1 and 10.8.1 together.

10.8 doco became looser around support, with a recommendation to keep software versions close together:  https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/manage-data/geodatabases/client-geodatabase-compatibilit...

This sentiment is reiterated in the Pro doco here:  https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/geodatabases/overview/client-geodatabase-compatib...

Be mindful of situations like this:  https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/geodatabases/overview/client-geodatabase-compatib...

On the balance of the above information, I wouldn't recommend any clients of mine to try this.  Sorry.
