Is there any reason that the Run As user for the ArcGIS server should be making 12 connections to an sde when there is only one service published using data from that location?
From my understanding, the Server should only be making one connection to the database and then putting locks on the datasets and featureclasses that it is using. However when I check the connections using arccatalog, there are 10+ connections using the server's user account that all connected within about 5 minutes of each other.
As I said before there is only one service published from this location, so I can't come up with any reason why so many active connections exist from the Server.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
What is the number of min instances for that service?
Based on the time it looks like the service recycled and then reconnected.
What version of Server is being used?
What version of RDBMS, looks like SQL Server?
What is the version of the enterprise geodatabase?
