Hello community,

We have an ArcGIS Enterprise Base Deployment (v10.6.1) running on a single machine and want to upgrade it to v10.8.1.

We plan to use the ArcGIS Enterprise Builder to run the upgrade and aren't clear on upgrading between versions. Do we need to run the Base Deployment upgrade incrementally (10.6 to 10.7 to 10.8 to 10.9) or can we upgrade from 10.6.x straight to the latest version?

Thanks,

Lisa

If your previous installation (ver. 10.6.1) was made using ArcGIS Enterprise Builder, you should be able to upgrade it using the steps in Upgrade a base deployment with ArcGIS Enterprise Builder—ArcGIS Enterprise | Documentation for ArcGI....

From ver. 10.7 onwards, ArcGIS Portal (and other dependent licenses, if any) is authorized using a JSON file, while ArcGIS Server component is authorized using the ECP file. Ensure you obtain the license files of Server (ECP) and Portal (JSON) ver. 10.8.x from My Esri.
