For ArcGIS Pro licensing, we use named user licensing with ArcGIS Enterprise. This worked fine at 11.2 with ArcGIS License Manager 2024.0. We did an in-place upgrade to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5, and now all ArcGIS Pro users get either of the two following error messages when launching ArcGIS Pro:

"The assigned license was not found. Please contact your administrator for more information." or "An unknown error has occurred.  Contact your administrator to check that the license manager is running with valid licenses."

We have tried:

  • Uninstalling ArcGIS License Manager 2024.0 and rebooting the Portal for ArcGIS machine
  • Clean uninstall/reinstall of ArcGIS Pro
  • Tested both built-in and SAML users, as well as a new user
  • Tried different license files with and without "https://" at the beginning of the portal URL
  • Confirmed registry key-values on ArcGIS Pro client

Are there any other suggestions to get ArcGIS Pro licensing to work?

Hi @aorton_blueraster

You need to regenerate the license file. You will be prompted for your Portal URL when generating a license file for an ArcGIS Enterprise portal with ArcGIS Pro add-on extensions in My Esri.

Please feel free to generate a support case if you still get issues.
