I published a feature layer with 5 feature classes in it. I want to be able to use the editor or smart editor tool in my application to add, edit, or delete features. However, when I add either one of those tools, only one of the templates is visible. When I add the editor tool and add the Filter template setting, it gives me a message that says "Feature Creation is disabled for all layers". When I check in the server manager, the "create" box is checked.
I checked the settings in the original map on ArcPro and determined there are no non-nullable fields, all layers have single symbol symbology, and no features have anything that I would suspect would cause the issues. I have a feeling that it is a setting somewhere that I am missing.
When searching for this, I saw there was other issues dealing with templates, but none of the solutions they suggested worked. I have linked those below.
https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000023199 - I have the "Update Only" box unchecked
https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-questions/smart-editor-template-not-updating/td-p/420780 - the solution provided did not work
https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000024843 - all permissions are set, I am the admin
EDIT:
I also found an article which referenced he same error "Feature Creation is disabled for all layers" (https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000025730) . When I looked at my original data, I saw that one of the layers had the elevation disabled and the rest were looking for Z values. I changed all the layers to not have any elevation enabled on them in the layer properties. I then re-published the layer, but still only one template shows up.
Hi @JoanneStarr, I'm sorry you had not received any replies on this. Has this been resolved yet? If not, I believe your best option would be to reach out to Esri Support so they can take a closer look at your feature service settings.
