We're installing Portal for ArcGIS for China Telecommunications Corporation which is one of the three leading telecom operators. The whole operation environment ran very well when we deployed Portal in intranet.
Now, our customers want to access the Portal through external Internet, in order to train the users of telecom all around the country. According to the software installation requirements, Portal can only be installed on the website machine that opens port 80 and port 443.
But for our customers, the entire IT environment management is so strict that network can be accessed only through the port mapping (maping the port in intranet to a port in internat network ). To open port 80 and port 443 needs very complicated examination and approval and there is no guarantee to get the green light.
If the port 80 can't be opened, it will result that our Portal doesn't work. Could you give some other methods to solve this problem?
