I started down this path because someone told me that I was pointing to the incorrect license manager based on the differing hostnames as shown in my screenshot. I don't have access to the LM and it is managed remotely. I was working to determine what licenses were assigned to me. I provided a screenshot of the available licenses and they differed as compared to the other person's view. I also kept being told that I needed to enter an IP address without a port, which didn't work for me. All around a confusing scenario. @Amoy Am do you know of any ESRI documentation that describes what you've shared? I wish there was a way to confirm which license manager I'm pointing too. I entered in the hostname and checked the availability. I guess that is all one can do. KW

I’ve just installed ArcGIS 10.6.1 and a bunch of patches. I did not uninstall the previous version of ArcGIS. After the install, I changed the license to concurrent. The problem is the license is pointing to the wrong license manager (LM) and the ArcGIS administrator is showing both host names. One on the left hand side above “desktop” and the second on the desktop tab near the change license manager. I’ve determined that my local user account is nested on this host name but I’m not sure what to do with that information but maybe it’s a clue? I have local admin rights but I’m unable to connect to the correct license manager even after entering the correct host name. The administrator is still connecting to the wrong LM. I’ve been provided with the host name and an IP address of where the license manager is located but no other assistance and I’m not clear what to even ask. I have access to the server but I can’t locate the license manager. Please help me with getting to my licenses. KW

Exporting a script from model builder with the hope of creating a functional python script. I need to be able to have the option of selecting my inputs. Some locations have data while others do not. I want to be able to run the script and select my inputs, while ignoring other inputs. I have multiple potential feature classes as inputs. I've identified these as variables but after running the python script, I receive the following error message. ExecuteError: Failed to execute. Parameters are not valid. ERROR 000735: Input Datasets: Value is required Failed to execute (Merge). I was upgraded from 10.0 to 10.1. The error message that I was having, was related to a need for a service pack. Specifically, I have a (.) in my user name. This may have been the cause of the error. Here is what I found on the following site: http://support.esri.com/en/content/known-issues#version101 04/25/13 �?? Issues when SQL Server user names contain special characters such as a dot (.) or a hyphen (-).(Patch Available) Product(s) Affected: ArcGIS for Desktop, ArcGIS Engine, ArcGIS for Server Version: 10.1 SP1 Bug ID's: NIM082739 - Failure to create a new layer or table, access an existing one, or add it into ArcMap if the SQL Server user name includes a dot (.), hyphen (-) or any other character that requires delimiting. NIM082947 - Cannot modify or delete a version created by a user with a dot (.) in the user name. NIM083805 - ArcGIS Desktop is unable to connect to the geodatabase version if the username of the owner of that version contains a dot (.). NIM088882 - SQL Server only: An error is encountered when creating a child or grandchild version when the version owner has a dot (.) in their name. Version manager won't open in ArcGIS 10.1. The change version button on the toolbar is not working either but other componets of the toolbar are working. Why is this? How can I get them to work? I have an ArcSDE database connection with write/edit priviledges and I have a installed SP1. When I select the version manager, nothing happens. When I select the change version I get the following error message: Error loading versions. [An item with the same key has already been added.]. This appears twice and then the change version window opens but it is not operational and nothing is loaded. Also, when i try to change the version on the table of contents view same thing happens. I've been searching for information about this and have had no luck. I've had my database administrator reissue edit rights, this has not changed anything. Does anyone have some thoughts on the above scenerio? Any help is appreiciated. thanks, Karen

Greetings, I have just upgraded to 10.1 and orginally I had editing rights to the an SDE connection (which has not been upgraded) but now when I select the version manager, nothing happens. ? Also, when i select the change version I get the following error: "Error loading versions. [An item with the same key has already been added.] Are these errors the result of an incompatability between 10.1 and 10.0 with regards to database connections? I'm looking for a way to export domains into a table. I Really want to export the codes and the domain descriptions out into excel or some other format. I've tried using the domain to table tool and have had the general 99999 error. It creates a table but what kind of table it is it won't let me select. The workspace, domain, output table seem straight forward but the code and description fields selections on the tool are not clear to me. Please assist.
