I'm looking for a way to export domains into a table.

I Really want to export the codes and the domain descriptions out into excel or some other format. I've tried using the domain to table tool and have had the general 99999 error. It creates a table but what kind of table it is it won't let me select. The workspace, domain, output table seem straight forward but the code and description fields selections on the tool are not clear to me.

Please assist.

Howdy  witselkl!
I had the same problem but I solve it. The bug comes when I was trying to export in to a table, saving the table directly to desktop, in a folder. You need to save the exported tabel in a data base(ex. gdb) because this table format needs a datababase to be saved. Hope this was helpfull fo' ya!

gisinfoturistic,

Thank you for your reply post. Yes, exporting a table to a GDB solved the issue.

I was just going to suggest exporting it to a Geodatabase.  I export to an MS Access database and then go in and edit the domain attributes.
