Running the ArcGIS Data Store describedatastore utility returns the following error message: Error encountered: No valid connection to ArcGIS Data Store configuration store established. Caused by: Connection to localhost:9876 refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections. There is no postmaster.pid file and the ArcGIS Data Store Windows service account has sufficient permissions to modify or delete a .pid file. We are in the process of upgrading our ArcGIS Enterprise deployment from 11.2 to 11.3. So far, we have successfully upgraded Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Web Adaptor to 11.3. However, the upgrade of ArcGIS Data Store was not successful. It proceeded up to the point at which it stated that it was configuring the ArcGIS Data Store service then it hung at that point for a few hours. I cancelled the install after it became unresponsive. After running the ArcGIS Data Store installer again, it continues to hang at various points such as after specifying the ArcGIS Data Store account or when validating the install. I should also mention that I tried uninstalling ArcGIS Data Store to install it afresh but it also hung during the uninstall and I cancelled this too. The 11.3 installer continues to detect the previous version for upgrade even though it's no longer in the Windows list of installed programs. We'd appreciate it if someone could assist us in resolving this problem.

Hello, In Portal for ArcGIS 11.2, we have 3 Category Gallery applications all of which load a blank page when opened on the browsers I've tested with (Firefox and Google Chrome). Clearing the cache does not help. The Firefox console shows the following errors when the page is loaded. Failed to load ‘https://<domain>.org/portal/jsapi/jsapi4/esri/widgets/support/widgetThemeUtils.js’. A ServiceWorker intercepted the request and encountered an unexpected error. Error: scriptError: https://<domain>.org/portal/jsapi/jsapi4/esri/widgets/support/widgetThemeUtils.js Failed to load ‘https://<domain>.org/portal/jsapi/jsapi4/esri/views/support/WatchUpdatingTracking.js’. A ServiceWorker intercepted the request and encountered an unexpected error. Error: scriptError: https://<domain>.org/portal/jsapi/jsapi4/esri/views/support/WatchUpdatingTracking.js Failed to load ‘https://<domain>.org/portal/jsapi/jsapi4/esri/views/support/floorFilterUtils.js’. The problem resolved itself. We restarted the ArcGIS Data Store service a few times and eventually it started with a status of "Started".

Thanks a lot for the instructions Daniel. I've tried them out but they haven't resolved the problem. After restarting the data store service, the lines in the relational-config.json file change to "StartFailed", and running the describedatastore utility shows that the status of the relational data store is also "StartFailed".

Hello, We can no longer validate our relational data store using ArcGIS Server Manager. The describedatastore utility shows that the status of the relational data store is RecoveryFailed. Restarting the ArcGIS Data Store service does not change the status. We'd appreciate any help in resolving this.

Hi, We have configured a spatiotemporal big data store as a single-machine deployment. This is the base ArcGIS Enterprise deployment with ArcGIS GeoEvent Server deployed on the same machine. ArcGIS Server supports two different server roles simultaneously in this deployment pattern; it is licensed as a GIS Server and a GeoEvent Server. The system has enough resources for all components. However, the spatiotemporal big data store stops occasionally with a connection error. Running the describedatastore utility returns the following error message: Error encountered: HTTP GET request failed. Connect to <hostname>:9220 [<hostname>/10.128.229.10] failed: Connection refused: connect Validating the data store in the ArcGIS Server Administrator Directory returns the following error message: Server machine 'https://<hostname>:2443/arcgis/datastoreadmin/machines/<name>/validate' returned an error. 'HTTP GET request failed. Connect to <hostname>:9220 [<hostname>/10.128.229.10] failed: Connection refused: connect' We usually restart the data store in the ArcGIS Server Administrator Directory to get it running again.
