We have a similar use case of wanting to publish data stored in a mosaic dataset as a Map Image Service. We have both a GIS Server and an Image Server federated in our Portal, and it is clear how we could publish an Image Service from these data, but why not a Map Image Service? The underlying data is too large to support a single file mosaic. Thanks for any advice?

Thank you for the reply Brett! I have reviewed the doc and followed it to the best of my ability. I am trying to enable access to a TPK already copied to my device. I can see it in my map library in the Survey123 field app. You suggestion to close Survery123 Connect while editing the .info file worked great...I was able to make edits without them being overwritten. However, even though I have added "mapTypes": { "append": true, "includeLibrary": true to my .info file, the TPK I have in the map library still does not show up. Thank you for your help!

I am experiencing the same problem. My use case is for a survey123 field application which will require offline access to a .tpk There are many possible 1/2 degree tpks with high resolution imagery. The user will need to download the tile they need and copy to the appropriate directory on their device. When I try to follow the directions here Prepare basemaps for offline use—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS under the "Copy your tile package directly to your device" heading, no luck. Like others, when I modify the .info JSON it continues to be overwritten when republished. I see some others have gotten closer by linking to a tile layer, but that will not support my use case. Any help is much appreciated. Kind regards

Hi Tim, I know it has been a few years and a few releases, but I am not having the same issue with Execute at ArcServer 10.3.1 I am trying to use CuRL to post an XML document with an Input Feature Set Polygon, but with no luck. Could you possibly post an example XML that you have successfully executed against an ArcServer WPS service? Thanks so much!

Hi Folks, I am working to implement a WPS service in a development environment and have been having trouble formatting the XML POST request. I keep receiving exceptionCode='WrongXML' even though my XML document validates fine. Unfortunately, because this is a Dev application I cannot post live links for testing. However I am attaching my XML WPS request here with hopes that someone can help me spot the problem. I am running ArcGIS for Server 10.3.1 Thank you so much! Kytt

I am wondering if there is a straightforward way to add a Google Maps Imagery Basemap to a WAB application? I understand that in order to conform with the Google Terms of Use it is necessary to use the Google API in order to request imagery tiles. I am aware of a code base "gmaps-utility-gis" which enables usage that conforms to the terms of use, but the code is very out of date and I am not sure exactly how to incorporate in WAB. Has anyone else already solved this issue? Many thanks.

Thanks again Robert. This works great for me to grab and manipulate the Legend Title of the map service name that is the top level title of a layer in the Legend. I am wanting to get at one of the services sublayers as my service architecture is many layers to one service. Thank you for the advice you have given so far which has been very useful. If you have an idea of how to get at the service sublayers that would be great, but I am already indebted by your helpfulness! Cheers,

Thanks for the response Robert. I am still having a bit of trouble which I guess is based on distinguishing between the LayerInfos and LayerInfo classes in WAB (see LayerInfo class—Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS (Developer Edition) | ArcGIS for Developers ) and the LayerInfo class in the regular JS API (see LayerInfo | API Reference | ArcGIS API for JavaScript ) Unless I am doing something wrong, it seems like the WAB class is either immutable, or not fully documented. Any more advice? Thanks again!

Hi Folks, This should be a simple question...I am developing a custom Legend Widget in WAB 1.2 I would like to alter the title of some set of layers which will be displayed in the widget without changing the layer title in the service itself. Is this possible, or is LayerInfo immutable? If it is in fact immutable, what workflow would you recommend? Is there any way around altering the layer titles directly in the map services? Thank you!

Thanks Folks, Indeed the problem was that the WebMap wasn't properly shared. I was confused because the other services are all from my local ArcServer, but the WebMap was the issue. Thank you again for the fast replies and help.

Hi Folks, I have created a custom WAB application using WAB 1.2, I have followed the steps to deploy this on my own webserver and have added and registered the app on AGOL and made it open to everyone. My issue is, when I try to access the application I am prompted to sign in to AGOL. How do I make the application generally accessible without the requirement of having an AGOL account? Thank you for your help!

Thanks for the reply Robert. When I try your line of code inside my widget in the context of return declare([BaseWidget], {
baseClass: 'jimu-widget-slidercontrol',
postCreate: function() {
this.publishData({message: "Deactivate_DrawTool"});
}; it works great however I also want to publish data inside an event listener that is part of the postCreate function return declare([BaseWidget], {
baseClass: 'jimu-widget-slidercontrol',
postCreate: function() {
this.publishData({message: "Deactivate_DrawTool"});
/ wire event listeners to grab slider position value onChange
slider.on("change", function(){
this.publishData({message: "Deactivate_DrawTool"});
)};
}; I get the following error in Google Chrome "Uncaught TypeError: this.publishData is not a function" Do you know what I might be doing wrong? Basic JS question I am sure! I appreciate your help.

Another newbie problem, but I am having real trouble figuring out the correct scope for the "publishData" method of the BaseWidget Class I have created a function in my custom widget that looks like the following postData: function(data) {
this.publishData({
data
});
console.log("POSTED");
}, I now want to call postData within a function that is nested inside the BaseWidget "postCreate" standard function. It looks something like this: function parseServiceResults(results, messages) {
// grab results json
basemaps = results[1].value;
postData(basemaps); I can't get it to work. I understand that it is somehow related to scope and the "this" keyword, but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you for your help!
